MS. T
I am incredibly thrilled to be your teacher this year, and have a wonderful year ahead planned.
But first, a little more about me...
Before becoming a BC public educator, I was a Montessori preschool teacher both in Ontario and on Vancouver Island. Teaching preschool was a bit different...but not as different as you might think. I believe that my preschoolers taught me a thing or two about my teaching philosophy. More than ever, I now believe that each individual possesses something that makes them unique and special. I think that my job is to help you to discover what that is and give you opportunities to explore and develop that passion. What better way to do that than in a drama class?
As for my theatrical experience, I have been acting, singing, and dancing since I was 7. I have been in way too many productions to list, both as a performer and as part of the artistic team. I have a very strong passion for choreography, dance, and directing and consider them to be my main specialties (although I love all things theatrical!) I have been an actor/dancer in Ontario and B.C. in several cities, and cannot wait to share all that I have learned.
Please feel free to email me or come see me in the drama office if you have any more questions.
Just a side note...
Most (and soon to be all!) of the pictures have been taken by me somewhere in Canada. Feel free to ask me about any of these places and/or hikes/outdoor adventures around the Kootenay's.
